After a long laudable career fighting communism in his native Poland, Korwin-Mikke has spent his time in Brussels happily seeking the limelight with controversial comments. He has questioned whether women should have the right to vote and argued that they should be paid less because they are “smaller, weaker and less intelligent.” During the 2012 Paralympics, he said that the disabled should not be allowed on television. In 2015, Parliament fined him for referring to migrants as “human garbage.”
